How to reset the service light on a 2009 Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Start with the instrument cluster off. While holding down the "O.O/Set" button in the centre of the instrument cluster, turn the key without releasing the button. Once the cluster is on, release the button and immediately press the button next to it until "main menu" appears on the display. Finally, turn off the ignition. At this point, the reset procedure for the service light on the 2009 Volkswagen Polo is complete, and you can verify it by restarting the car and checking that the light does not come on again. It is recommended not to perform the reset before actually completing the service.
