How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf 6

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Golf 6, start by turning on the ignition without starting the engine. Notice that a message appears on the display indicating that service is due soon. To reset it, press and hold the button located at the top right of the wiper stalk until you enter the main menu. Once in the menu, use the down arrow (or push the button at the end of the wiper stalk downwards) until you reach "interval. Service". Press the "ok" button at the bottom of the wiper stalk, navigate to the second option, press the "ok" button again, go to the "ok" message, and press the "ok" button. The display will show that the service has been reset. Now you can turn off the ignition, turn it back on, and you will see that the service message no longer appears.
