Resetting the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

If you see the service light appear on the dashboard of your Volkswagen Golf 4, it means a service is due after reaching a certain mileage. To deactivate the light, press and hold the button to reset the mileage with the ignition off. While still holding the reset button, turn on the ignition of your Golf 4. After a few seconds, the service light will disappear, and you can release the reset button. To complete the operation, turn off the ignition with the key. Be careful, once the light is cleared, ensure to have the service done as soon as possible.
