Today, learn how to reset the service light on the Volkswagen Golf MK 5. Performing these simple steps independently allows you to update the mileage for the next service without visiting a garage. To reset the light, turn on the ignition and press the 0.0 button located on the right side of the instrument cluster.

It is important to keep the button pressed for the duration of the reset. When the light stops flashing, the mileage will have been updated; release the button and restart the instrument cluster to complete the operation.
