How to reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Golf, press and hold the right button located at the bottom of the instrument cluster. While holding it, turn the ignition key to switch on the instrument cluster. The word "Service" will appear on the small display under the speedometer: by turning the button on the left of the instrument cluster, the remaining miles until the next service will be displayed. Simply switch off and then switch on the instrument cluster to reset the light: after performing this operation, you will see that the Service light is off.
