If you own a Volkswagen Golf Mk5 (2003-2008) and want to know how to manually reset the service light, follow these steps. First, get in the car and locate the "0.0" button on the lower right side of the dashboard.

Ensure that the ignition is completely off. Now, press and hold the "0.0" button, insert the key, and turn on the ignition of your Volkswagen Golf Mk5. Wait a few seconds, then release the "0.0" button and press "min" to complete the service light reset.
