Replacing the external mirror on a Volkswagen Golf, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick task. First, insert the key and turn on the ignition, then adjust the mirror to rotate it fully inward.

Once done, grasp the mirror from the outer edge, lever it out, and gently disengage it from its support. Finally, disconnect the two rear connectors for the heating, connect them to the replacement, and press the new mirror firmly onto its base.
