If pressing the buttons on the remote key opens the locks but the LED on the remote cover does not light up, the battery (model CR 2025) is likely dead. Replacing it is straightforward, as compared to previous models where you had to separate the metal key from the remote. Now, there is a cap on the back of the shell: simply lever the inner edge to detach the cap and access the battery compartment to remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity.
