To change the oil of a Yamaha R1M, the first step is to place the motorcycle on a stand to keep it stable and safe. Make sure the engine is warm, but not too hot, to facilitate the draining of the oil. Under the engine, locate the drain plug, place a container underneath it, and unscrew the plug with the correct wrench. Let it drain completely, being careful not to spill the oil outside of the container. Once the old oil is fully drained, put the drain plug back in place, tightening it securely but without excessive force to avoid damaging the threads. Now you can proceed to pour the new oil into the engine. Use the oil recommended by the motorcycle manual and pour it slowly through the top cap, checking the level frequently with the dipstick. When you reach the correct level, close the oil cap and briefly start the motorcycle to circulate the new oil inside the engine.
