In order to disassemble the engine of the Yamaha XJ650, you need to loosen the screws that fix the panel on the top of it, so that you can proceed by freeing the cylinder from the top: once the cylinder has been freed, you can access the piston inside it. This must be detached from the connecting rod so that the latter can also be freed from the crankshaft: the additional components inside can be replaced so that the engine can be installed and checked to ensure that everything is working.
