To change the motor oil of a Yamaha Thundercat, start by warming up the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid, then turn it off. Make sure the motorcycle is stable using a central or side stand. Under the engine, locate the oil drain plug. Place a basin under the plug to collect the used oil. Use a wrench to unscrew the drain plug and let the oil drain completely into the basin. Once all the oil has been drained, put the drain plug back on and tighten it securely. Now locate the oil fill plug on the top of the engine. Remove the plug and, with the help of a funnel, slowly pour the recommended amount of new oil as per the owner's manual. Once done, close the fill plug, start the engine for a few minutes and then turn it off to recheck the oil level, adding more if necessary.
