The correct chain adjustment on the Yamaha MT 09 ranges from 5 to 15 mm. To do this, tighten the wheel nut to 150 Nm using a torque wrench. Remove the central wheel spindle, then also unscrew the locknuts on both sides of the wheel. Adjust the spindle with a spanner, ensuring the chain moves within the specified limits (see video). Proceed to tighten the locknut using two spanners. Repeat the process on the other side of the wheel to ensure it is aligned. Finally, tighten the hub spindle with the torque wrench.
