Dismantling and Replacing the Shock Absorber of the Yamaha MT-09

Follow the instructions below to dismantle and replace the shock absorber or central suspension of the Yamaha MT-09. First, place your motorcycle on a stand and begin loosening the nut located between the frame using a 14 mm socket wrench with an extension.

Then, use a pin to disconnect the suspension, as shown in the video.

At this point, unscrew and disconnect the suspension from the bottom, removing it from the frame. Replace it with the new one, as well as the original, and finally adjust the spring preload after securing it!

How to Replace the Piston on a Derbi GPR 125
