Oil change on Yamaha Mio 125

For this scooter model it is recommended to use 10W-40 4-stroke synthetic oil. The oil drain bolt is obviously located at the bottom, and in this case on the left side of the scooter, as you can see in the video. Unscrew the aforementioned 17 mm bolt with a socket wrench and collect the used oil in a container. The advice I give you is to carry out this operation after having started the engine for several minutes: this will heat the oil in circulation, reducing its viscosity and favoring its escape. Close the drainage hole and fill in the same amount of new oil from the hole on the right side of the scooter.

How to change the engine oil of Derbi Fds

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
