To replace the battery in the Yamaha XT 250, loosen the bolts securing the right side panel located just under the seat. Once this panel is removed, access the underlying battery, which must be freed from the cross bracket that holds it in place. At this point, disconnect the cables attached to the battery terminals, and the battery can be extracted from its housing. After removal, insert a new battery and reattach the side panel.
