To change the engine oil on the Yamaha Xmax 300, you need to loosen the drain plug located at the bottom left of the bike, next to the stand. Opening the plug will allow the used oil to flow into a suitably placed container. Once the oil has completely drained, close the plug and loosen the screws that secure the cover containing the oil filter, located just above. Once the oil filter has also been replaced, you can pour the new oil through the hole in the cover above the exhaust.
