Answer

When the instrument panel is turned on, the glow plug light comes on, but in no time at all it should go out and allow the engine to start. If, on the other hand, the warning light stays on or you notice that it comes on while driving, this is a symptom of a malfunction in the engine preheating system. Normally it is sufficient to replace the glow plugs. The glow plugs should be replaced every 60/80 thousand km depending on whether the car is subjected to heavy use or not. All 4 glow plugs must be replaced. The unit cost of a glow plug is about 15 euros and with manpower we can consider an intervention in the order of 130 euros or more.
