How to Remove a Broken Glow Plug from its Seat

This guide shows how to remove a broken glow plug from its seat in the engine. To perform this operation, a specific kit is required. First, remove the internal body of the glow plug and the connector using pliers. Referencing a new glow plug, measure the drilling tip of the kit and drill out the remaining glow plug in the engine. Insert the correct size tap into the newly drilled hole and create a thread to allow the extractor to be secured. Fit the extractor and force out the remaining part of the glow plug. After this operation, clean the hole of metallic debris and create a new thread to insert the new glow plug. Fit the new glow plug.
