It can happen that during the removal of a glow plug, the hexagonal element may break off from the body of the glow plug, which then becomes stuck in its seat: there is a specific extraction kit that allows you to remove the glow plug without having to disassemble the cylinder head through a series of steps; once the hexagonal element is removed, use the appropriate guide sockets to drill and eliminate the electrode, then drill the glow plug, paying close attention to the drilling depth (mark the length on the tip with masking tape) and the angle (insert a socket onto the adjacent glow plug), cleaning the chips with compressed air; after drilling, perform the threading to screw in the extractor and complete the operation.
