How to Test a Glow Plug?

As shown in this tutorial, testing the proper functioning of a glow plug is very simple. You will only need any model of tester. First, locate the glow plug to be tested, then disconnect the power cable to expose the pin that acts as a contact. Next, set the tester to the lowest resistance value available, connect the negative to any engine ground, and connect the positive to the glow plug pin. If a very low resistance value appears on the tester, such as 3 ohms in this case, the glow plug is functioning perfectly.
