Replacing the Glow Plugs on the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI

To replace the glow plugs, first open the bonnet, disconnect the battery, and remove the engine cover. Use a flat screwdriver to free the cables from their guides. Then, remove the protective cover from the glow plug and clean the area. Glow plugs are very delicate components, and if one breaks, it can be problematic as a part may remain stuck in the cylinder head. Spray some penetrating fluid on the glow plug and proceed to remove it while the engine is warm, using a 10 mm socket and working gently. Take the new glow plug and position it in the housing, then tighten it using a torque wrench (adhering to the manufacturer's specified torque). Finally, reassemble all components in reverse order.
