Volkswagen Tiguan - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016
Part: Glow plugs
Operation: Replacing the glow plugs on the Volkswagen Tiguan 2 0 tdi

To replace the glow plugs it is necessary to open the bonnet, disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover. Use a flat screwdriver to free the cables from their guides. Then extract the pesticide from the glow plug and clean the affected area. The glow plugs are very delicate organs and if they were to break it would be a problem because a part would get stuck in the cylinder head. Spray the unlocking agent on the glow plug and proceed with the disassembly with the engine warm, use a 10 mm socket wrench and proceed gently. Take the new glow plug and place it in the housing, screw the glow plug back on using a torque wrench (respecting the tightening torque set by the manufacturer). Finally, proceed to reassemble all the components backwards.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
