Let's see in this guide one of the most frequent problems related to the Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCi first series; in particular, the car has problems starting the engine (or the engine often starts but runs in fits and starts). One of the problems encountered concerns the diesel filter which becomes clogged; when replacing the diesel filter it is necessary to carry out a "vacuum" operation so that no air bubbles arise which could cause the diesel to reach the engine. We then check that the diesel reaches the fuel system.
