Answer

If the engine fault warning light comes on on the instrument panel display and an error relating to the oxygen sensor emerges from the fault memory check, then it means that the lambda probe has been damaged: you will also notice excessive fuel consumption and poor performance of the motor; of these probes there are two, both applied on the exhaust gas pipe, one immediately under the gearbox, and one a little further after the first silencer.
