Operation: How does a lambda probe work?

How does a lambda probe work? A 4-wire probe is composed of two elements: the first is the heating element, which is nothing more than a resistor, and the second is the reading element. Two wires are used for the probe's heater, while the other two are used for reading the exhaust gases. The heater is used to heat up the element that monitors the exhaust fumes as quickly as possible. So, if one of these probes were to be broken, how can we tell? The wires that deal with the probe's resistance are the red and white ones; we put the multimeter in continuity mode with the resistance reading: if it beeps and the resistance is very low, it means the probe is functioning. If, on the other hand, the probe is not working, we have an open circuit. This is the simplest way to check the lambda probe's heater.

How to replace the Ford Transit key battery

Below I will explain how to replace the remote control key battery on the car, take a small screwdriver and pry the rear part of the remote control, (where there is the ring), at which point unhook the back cover and yes will have access to the compartment containing the battery. Always with the help of the small screwdriver, proceed to make the va and lift the battery out of the housing. Then take the new battery (check the type) and place it on the housing, always making sure to position it with the positive pole facing upwards. Finally, close the back cover by re-hooking it to the key.
