Here’s how to clean the lambda sensor in an engine. The lambda sensor measures the percentage of oxygen in the exhaust gases, allowing for an assessment of the combustion cycle's effectiveness. The sensor is located upstream of the catalytic converter, so lift the vehicle and locate the catalytic converter from underneath. Upstream of the catalytic converter, you will find the sensor, which is screwed onto the exhaust pipe. Disconnect the electrical connector, then unscrew the fastening nut to extract the sensor. Proceed to clean it by blowing it out and washing it with a degreasing product.
