Answer

Problems with the Start & Stop system were reported on the Jeep Compass, the warning light turning on at the same time as the general engine failure warning. In this case the problem is often related to the clogged diesel particulate filter, which automatically deactivates the S&S system during the regeneration procedure. Otherwise, it could also be a low battery level.
