This video shows how to permanently disable Start/Stop in the Jeep Compass. Start/Stop is a system that helps slightly reduce fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine during prolonged stops, such as at traffic lights.

To disable this system, which can sometimes be too intrusive, open the bonnet and locate the large pin indicated at the front of the compartment. This is the switch that signals to the car that the bonnet is open; by removing it, the car will be tricked and Start/Stop will be automatically disabled.
