We would like to point out that the battery replacement process for the key in this video is common to many cars, so it is not only valid for the Audi A3 2003. After noticing that the key no longer opens and closes the car, etc., we proceed with the aforementioned work: We remove the emergency opening key from the shell and use it to pry open the central joint of the same shell, splitting it in half.

Then we remove the battery, CR2032 format, from its slot and insert a new one with the same technical characteristics.

Finally, we close the shell and put the emergency key back in place.

Where is the Battery Located on the Toyota Hybrid Yaris?

Unlike many Toyota models, the Hybrid Yaris places the battery inside the vehicle. The battery of the Toyota Hybrid Yaris is located within the cabin, specifically under the right rear seat. If you need to access the battery, you must remove the rear seat, the screws securing the cover, and the hard plastic cover. Once these obstacles are removed, you can access the battery compartment and perform the necessary maintenance. Remember, if you need to disconnect the battery, always remove the positive terminal first, followed by the negative.
