In this video, see how to open the front hood on an Audi A4. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the hood slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the hood is unlocked, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod (if no strut is present). Now that the hood is open, you can perform your maintenance. To close the hood: remove the safety rod and let the hood drop down from a minimal height. Ensure it closes properly.
