Where is the battery of the Audi A8 located?

The position of the starting battery in the Audi A8 varies depending on the generation: for the D2 (1994/2002), it is located in the trunk, under the trunk mat and the plastic cover. The same position applies to the D3 version (2002/2009), which is the one we see in the video. Among these versions, there are also those with a start & stop system that feature an auxiliary battery in the engine compartment. The D4 version (2009/2017) places it under the right rear seat instead. We need to remove the rear mat and take off the plastic cover. The battery is housed in a container, while the auxiliary battery (for models with start & stop) is located in the engine compartment. The D5 version (from 2017 onwards) is also located under the right rear seat, but access is complicated, and there is always the auxiliary battery present.
