To remove the radio unit in an Audi Q5, use the radio removal keys, which are flat metal strips designed to unlock the internal clips. Insert these keys into the designated front holes of the radio until you hear a click that releases the locking tabs.

At this point, grasp the keys and pull the unit outward while keeping it straight. Once removed, access the back and disconnect the power connectors, antenna, and other wiring.

After removal, you can service or replace the unit; to reinstall, reconnect the connectors, slide the radio back in until it locks, and remove the removal keys.
