Replacing the Headlight Bulbs on Audi A6

The headlight bulbs on the Audi A6 are damaged and need to be replaced. Here’s how to change them. Lift the hood by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard, and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the inspection cover of the headlight (located at the rear of the headlight), and unclip the metal clips that secure the cover. Find the bulbs with the metal connectors; pull the bulb holders out of the headlight and extract the damaged bulbs using a screwdriver. Install the new bulbs (always the correct type and size) and insert the bulb holder back into the headlight housing. Reattach the cover and the metal clips.
