How to replace a diesel filter on Audi A6

The diesel filter on Audi A6 is positioned under the coolant tank, therefore, to have access to it, it will be necessary to remove the latter by unscrewing the easily visible screw in the bracket that supports it and the upper plastic cover of the engine which will be enough to pull to unhook it from its seat. Once these two elements have been removed, you will have easier access to the diesel filter, the latter will be characterized by four pipes, the first two placed individually on the left side can be detached only after loosening the metal clamps with pliers, the other two instead they will be fixed to a plastic fitting fixed to the filter by means of a metal clip, so it will be enough to pull the latter to extract the entire fitting. After disconnecting the two pipes and the fitting, you will notice the presence of two O-rings positioned in the lower part of the fitting, these must be removed with a flat screwdriver and replaced with the new ones supplied with the new filter. Once this is done, you can loosen the pin that fixes the filter placed on the side of the same, this operation will serve to loosen the band that supports it. At this point the old filter can be removed and replaced with the new one, taking care to reassemble everything in the reverse order to that of disassembly. During the first start-up the car may have difficulty starting, this will be due to the fact that the new filter will need to refill with fuel so it will be enough to insist a little to carry out the first start-up.
