To remove the seatbelt on an Audi A3, follow these steps. Use a plastic trim tool to remove the side trim of the cabin where the seatbelt retractor is located. After removing the cover panel, use a socket spanner to unscrew the fastening bolts on both sides of the seatbelt retractor. Remove the seatbelt retractor along with the associated feed clamp (if present). Secure the new seatbelt retractor in place and tighten the fastening bolts. Refit the cover panel with all the securing clips. Test the operation of the seatbelt.
