How to replace the rear light bulb on an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013
Part: Tail light bulb

Before starting, we will have to open the tailgate of our Audi A3. So let's start by disengaging and removing the internal cover of the rear light fixing nut, which we will then have to unscrew and remove. After that, we will have to extract the headlight, and then disconnect the relative electrical connector. By doing so, we will have reached the lamp holder. We then proceed by unscrewing and removing the screws that secure the bulb holder to the rear light. At this point, we will have reached the burned out light bulb, which we can disengage and remove, and we will have successfully completed the disassembly. To fit the new bulb and reassemble everything, we will have to repeat these instructions in reverse, and we will have completed the replacement.

Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
