How to Replace the Key Battery on an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 8V, MK 3 - Years 2012-2019

Start by pressing the button located on the top back of the key. This will allow you to detach the upper section of the key, which you will remove. After this step, press and simultaneously pull out the button revealed after removing the upper part. This will allow you to extract the battery holder and the key battery itself. At this point, remove the exhausted battery (battery code if needed: CR2032) and install the new battery. Once this step is complete, simply reinsert the battery holder into its previous position, then insert the upper section, and you will be finished.
