How to Replace the Ignition Switch on an Audi A3

To replace the ignition switch on an Audi A3, it is necessary to remove the steering wheel and all the covers with the light switch controls. Once this operation is complete, remove the plastic covers around the ignition switch. This will reveal a hole on the side where a piece of stiff wire must be inserted to press the locking tab of the switch and subsequently extract it. At this point, insert the new ignition switch, orienting the locking tab towards its respective seat. Once inserted, the tab will click, and the switch is secured. Then, remove the complete shell of the switch to access the ignition contact block and replace it, and you will have completed the replacement. To reassemble everything, simply follow the steps in reverse, and you will be finished.
