To remove the centre console of an Audi A3, you need some plastic levers to unclip the fastening clips of the various components. Start by lifting the gear gaiter, leaving the lever and knob in position. Now insert the lever into the side of the console, on the front passenger side, and lift the plastic cover. This will allow the entire centre console to disengage: to complete the removal, disconnect all connectors. Once the old piece is removed, you can proceed with the replacement.
