In this video, see how to remove the centre tunnel on an Audi A3. Use a plastic lever to pry off the trim located at the bottom of the centre tunnel, and remove the leather gear knob. After removing the plastic trim, unscrew the retaining bolts at the rear of the centre tunnel using a socket. Once this is done, pull the tunnel away and disconnect any power cables. Finally, insert the new piece into the centre tunnel space and reassemble all components of the glove compartment as previously disassembled.
