To replace the fuel filter on an Audi A3, lift the car using a ramp and position a tray under the filter to collect any spilled fuel. Next, disconnect the fuel lines by loosening the appropriate bolts.

At this point, you can unscrew the side screw that secures the filter in place and remove it. Once the filter is removed, collect all the fuel, and when it has completely drained, install the new filter by connecting it to the pipes and securing it with the appropriate screw.
