Replacing the key fob battery on an Audi A4 is a simple process that requires only a "CR 2032" battery and no other tools. First, click the button on the back of the key and detach the mechanical key section (which you won't need). On the front of the key, there is another button that you need to press while also pushing that small compartment that contains the battery. Now just pull out the old battery and insert the new one. Reassemble the compartment and the mechanical key as they were, and you have replaced the key fob battery.
