To replace the gearbox oil in an Audi A3, lift the car to access the underside near the engine bay. Locate the gearbox oil drain plug and open it to collect the used oil in a suitably positioned container. Once the draining is complete, refit the plug and access the top of the engine bay by removing the battery and the air filter.

This will allow you to top up by adding new gearbox oil through the designated hole.
