How to replace the air filter of the Audi A3

Today we will explain how to replace the air filter of the Audi A3 diesel model mk2 on your own. To replace the filter, we need to open the front hood and using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the six screws on the filter flange. Remove the air tube by levering with a flat-head screwdriver and a pair of pliers; bring the two ends of the support ring closer to release it and slide it towards the air duct. Remove the access duct and the flange to extract the air filter. Clean the filter box from any remaining impurities inside and insert the new air filter making sure the rubber edge is inserted. Mount the flange and proceed with inserting the tube. Using pliers, reposition the air inlet duct and screw the support ring, using pliers and a screwdriver. Screw the six screws of the flange and connect the ventilation tube.
