How to Change the Engine Air Filter in an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 8V, MK 3 - Years 2012-2019

To replace the engine air filter in an Audi A3, turn off the engine, wait for it to cool down, and open the bonnet. Locate the air filter box in the engine compartment, connected to the intake duct. Disconnect the intake hose and any connectors that prevent lifting the cover, then loosen the fastening screws along the edge of the airbox. Lift the cover and remove the old filter element from its seat. Clean the inside of the box, removing leaves, dust, and other debris, being careful not to let them fall into the intake duct. Insert the new filter respecting the original position and check that the seal adheres properly along the entire perimeter. Close the cover, tighten the screws, and reconnect the hose and any previously disconnected connectors.
