This guide shows how to remove and replace the automatic gear knob on the Audi A3, as well as other models from the manufacturer. First, get inside the vehicle and start by detaching the gear gaiter using a thin lever.

Then, unclip the clamp located between the gaiter and the knob and pull the knob upwards with force, as shown in the video. At this point, replace the gear knob with the correct new one; install it properly on the lever, and finally secure the gaiter!
