Replacement of the Valve Stem Retaining Ring

Model: Audi A3 8P, MK 2 - Years 2003-2013
Part: Valve

Start by applying the appropriate tool to compress the spring. After a few turns, once sufficient space is created, remove the retainer from the valve stem. Then, remove the tool, releasing the cap, spring, and extract the valve from the opposite side. Use the appropriate extractor to remove the retaining ring from the sliding seat of the stem. Always clean the area before reassembling the component. Insert the retaining ring into the stem seat using the special tool and a plastic hammer. Lubricate the stem, reinsert the valve, spring, and cap, securing them with the retainer, using the same tool as before. Car model: Audi A3 1.8 20v

Open the car door and lift the driver's seat; the battery is located underneath it (in other cars, it is commonly found in the engine bay). Remove the plastic cover of the battery cover, and begin unscrewing the securing bolts of the battery terminals with the appropriate socket wrench. Remove the old battery using the plastic handle and fit a new one, tightening the power terminals. Close the battery compartment and lower the driver's seat.
