Check Cooling Fan Operation

If the engine cooling fans do not activate, you risk seriously damaging the engine due to overheating. Check several components of the system to determine the cause of the malfunction. First, verify the integrity of the fuses and ensure power is reaching the connector (you can use a multimeter and a simple test light); if these checks are positive, the problem is likely with the fan motor. You can try powering it directly with an external battery: disconnect the power plug, connect two wires to ground, and attempt to power the other two terminals that represent the operating speeds; if the motor does not start, it means it is burned out and will need to be replaced.
