Audi A3 - Video tutorial
Model: Audi A3
8P, MK 2
- Years 2003-2013 To be able to replace the timing belt of the Audi A3 2.0 TDi, you have to open the hood so that you can access the components inside the engine compartment. In this way it will be possible to remove the obstructions to the left of the engine compartment, such as the washer fluid reservoir. At this point it will be possible to access the pulleys around which the belt is arranged: by unscrewing the central pins of the pulleys, it will be possible to reduce the tension of the belt and remove it. Then it will be possible to replace it with a new spare part, fitting all the components previously removed.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video.
