The breakage of the hinges supporting the door of the glove compartment is a very recurring defect in the Audi / Volkswagen family: the solution proposed by the parent company is the replacement of the entire door equipped with two new hinges and at a cost that is not exactly negligible ; however, the new door is built with the same material and technology as the original one, therefore it is destined for the same fate; some repair kits exist in the after market or you can resort to a more artisanal but lasting solution; remove the support pins of what remains of the hinges, glue them in their respective seats with two-component glue and apply self-tapping screws as reinforcement, making a pre-hole and painting the head of the screws in the same color as the door ( cmq are located in an invisible position).

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
