If the smart key of your Audi A3 third generation (2012-2019) has suddenly stopped working and you want to replace the battery inside, follow this procedure. First, take the key and press the button located at the top of the rear cover to release the physical emergency key. Once done, remove the rear cover and locate the button battery inside.

Finally, remove it and replace it with a new compatible one. Refit the cover and you're done.
